At Hostingly, we prioritise the security and privacy of your data. Setting up a security question and answer is an essential step in this process. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to establish your security question.
Step 1: Initial Purchase or Account Creation
- When making your initial purchase or creating an account before purchasing our services, we will prompt you to set up a security question and answer.
Step 2: Existing Clients
- If you are an existing client and haven’t configured your security question, we will guide you through this process when you contact us.
Step 3: Setting Up Your Security Question
- Begin by logging into your Hostingly account.
- Click on the profile drop-down menu and select “Security Settings.”
- Locate the “Set security question” button and click on it.
Step 4: Choose a Security Question
- From the provided list, choose a security question that you can easily remember.
- Type your answer to the selected question.
- Click “Save Security Question” to confirm your choice.
Step 5: Managing Your Security Question
- You have the flexibility to update or change your security question and answer at any time.
- To do this, return to the Security Settings page and make the necessary adjustments.
Additional Security Feature: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- While setting up your security question is crucial, we highly recommend enhancing your account security further by enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
- Although not mandatory, 2FA adds an extra layer of protection to your Hostingly account.
